What do you mean by "military grade"? I take it that it is soft body armor? What protection level, I, II-A, II,, IIIA, III? A lot of times it will say on the armor/ I think you would may be able to snatch a couple hundred.

Only if you commit a crime while wearing it...

Wearing body armor in public is illegal. The average person cannot walk down the street wearing body armor. Several people in the music industry have had some very hefty fines against them for wearing armor.

Does it have velcro pockets on the front and back for Ballistic plates? (as in ceramic plates you slide into the vest?) If you've got the plates with it that's awesome.....they stop rifle rounds. I was issued an "Interceptor" vest when I was in... http://www.qm-supply.com/zenstore/images/chestarmor.jpg

Says on the websites it retails for $275....If you've got the ballistic plates the price probably doubles.

It is completely legal to own and wear body armor in Wisconsin. Unless...

b) The treatment of section 941.291 of the statutes
first applies to the possession of body armor that occurs
on the effective date of this subsection, but does not preclude
the counting of an act that was committed before
the effective date of this subsection for purposes of determining
whether any of the following makes a person subject
to section 941.291 of the statutes:
1. The person has been convicted of a violent felony
in this state.
2. The person has been convicted of a crime elsewhere
that would be a violent felony if committed in this
state.
3. The person has been adjudicated delinquent for an
act that if committed by an adult in this state would be a
violent felony.
4. The person has been found not guilty of a violent
felony in this state by reason of mental disease or defect.
5. The person has been found not guilty of or not
responsible for a crime elsewhere by reason of insanity
or mental disease, defect, or illness if the crime would be
a violent felony in this state.

I have one for when I used to work for an armored car company. I think it was IIA or IIIA and I have the extra plates. I should see what I can get for it

3A sir!

I'd say start at $250 and go from there. Yeah that's close to the retail pricing, but most places will not sell body armor to the public...even if it is legal.

Kind of a cool thing to have ... but I'm also shocked that they're only 250! I would have thought they'd be crazy expensive only because they "protect a priceless life,"

Concealable body armor goes for considerably more, due to its flexibility, light weight and effectiveness.
