I am looking for a set of good condition OEM 2003/04 Cobra valve covers with the matching coil covers. I would prefer that the Romeo Niche-Line build tag reads "Tim Parrot" and "Doug Deemer" as the two builders, but that is not mandatory. Willing to trade a pair of matching wrinkle black powder coat covers with matching coil covers straight up or cash deal.

Also looking for:

03/04 drive shaft
03/04 heat exchanger w/ brackets

local or within reasonable driving distance.

I am just starting to accumulate odds and ends. These are just something I would like to have, that are a pretty long shot so I figured I better start early.

Would you want to sell the wrinkle black powder coated covers? I don't want to get rid of mine but I would like to run some black covers when I do the switch to the black whipple. LMK

I would have to have a replacement first before I would consider it.

Sam hrsplay might still have the IRS from his termi - but I think I remember him telling me he sold it for more than he paid for his SRA.

Just throwing this out there based on what the stock ones seem to run, somewhere around $225 but I am open on that.

Holy balls is that cheap! Is the IRS different or better from a termi vs and older cobra?

They are pretty darn close to specs I think the 03's had stonger half shafts but not by much and you can buy the 03-04 half shafts for $200 a pair

I think I have one coming from Minnesota with a drive shaft but I am going to talk to this guy anyway. As far as the valve covers, I'm waiting on this bone head to reply. As soon as he takes the money, I'll let you know.

My pops seems to think I should hold onto them for the time being even though I have the stock ones. If I change my mind down the road I'll let you know.

I am still looking for a reasonably priced complete caliper-to-caliper IRS and oem drive shaft from the 03/04 cobra if anyone happens to come a cross one under a $1000 let me know.

I noticed this on Ebay just now

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160412376147

It is what I am looking for, complete and the guy says he will sell it shipped to the USF Holland Milwaukee terminal with insurance for $1283. Too much?

^^^ Way too much. You should be able to find one for $600-800 cash and carry. Find one within driving distance and just go get it. I just looked they are in davenport Iowa. That's a four hour drive each way.

I've been looking for some time now. The ones I find in that range are either dirty as can be OR not complete. I am on 6 different sites but still little luck. Where do you recommend I look?

Craigslist (look in other cities within driving distance, Chicago, Minniapolis, ect), here (one went a year ago here for six or eight hundo), chigacosvt, svtperformance, ebay, chitown, yada yada yada. Dirt is easily fixed. Or look for a broken one and repair it.

I did not know about chicagosvt... that seems like a good one. I already posted in someone's parts thread on there.

I talked to my Dad about this stuff a few times today and I just ran into this listing. I know I need a good body to cut up, and for the price, especially since it includes the IRS, I think I am going to try to go this route...

If anything I would put your motor and trans in the car and drive it. I wouldn't cut up a cobra there are plenty of SN95's in the bone yard to cut up and I bet you can get a shell for $400

That's the same guy I bought the engine from. He offered it to me last week but I decided to pass because the 03 has a tougher center section, axles, and 3:55's plus apparently the 99 is prone to some really nasty wheel hop. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me.

Plus I was supposed to get an 03 from a guy in Gary for $900 but he has yet to call me back.

Won't be any difference between 99/01 and 03/04 as far as wheel hop goes. There's various bushings kits that supposedly help, but either way the tire is what helps. I've got 0 wheel hop with the Nittos, the bfgs on it before were terrible.

good to know, thank you. I still plan on holding out for the right one at the right price. Especially since I am not in a major hurry.

I did not like the fact that he told me the car had rolled and landed back on its wheels. If it was fine, I suppose it was my loss, but I am ok with the decision I made.

It showed no signs of rolling. Two rims look good, one needs small repair, one is prolly junk; I need to put all three on a balancer to be sure though. I got the package for $800. I'm ok with the decision I made. :devil

My Dad is picking up a compete (exactly what I was looking for) 03 rear end tomorrow in the Chicago area for the same price. It's only got 17,000 miles on it too! Glad it worked out well for both of us :thumbsup
