WI Bobcat distribution

Hearing rumors of Bobcat near Lake Puckaway recently, I started digging around and found some interesting reading:

Anybody seen cats in the southern half of the state?

When I lived in Shawano I would seen them now and then but I have never seem them south of Oshkosh

Joe and I were talking about this a few weeks ago -

I hunt in Baraboo, Wi - near Portage. The FIRST time that I went deer hunting by myself, I had a lynx cross a road no more than 50 yards from me.

I nearly shit myself, and to this day am terrified of ever running into one in the wild and having it see me. I couldn't believe how BIG it was (granted... I don't this was a long time ago).

i see them almost every year deer hunting on my land... but that is in Florence WI. about 18 miles north west of iron mtn michigan

i saw a bobcat west of tomahawk this summer.. my gf's cousin has a permit for one this year

I hunt Florence too and never saw one :(

My grandparents see them all the time in Eagle River. They were taking pictures because they had never seen them before, now they are around all the time.

I've never seen them at the house we have in Harshaw, which is just west of Rhinelander. Good to know though. My little 5 lb dogs would make nice snacks.

puckaway rd yea im at rivers end resort got me a double wide 50' lol but its nice to get away to do whatever though
