He had straight stacks with rain caps, painted black. Just got these angled ones and painted them black.

so, not to bust your balls to bad. But you're more worried about your stacks, than the rust all over the tailgate, and over the rear passenger side wheel...

Glad you have vehicle priorities straight :)

As a general question to the disill folks: why stacks? Just for looks or you don't like carrying 4x8 sheets of anything?

Nice looking rig. Keep the rust and lose the stacks.

i can haul anything i want really, the T-pipe gets decently hot just gotta keep plastic away from it, or else the top of the stacks dont get really that hot. I think it adds a different look to the truck and with this truck the black adds some charactor....a lot of tracks require em to keep the soot off the lights/signs

stacks are nice for watching the smoke roll out...i still have my stack set up but like my 5" bumper, i'm sure i'll throw the stack back on in summer for pulling as its required

But then you can't close the tailgate. I grew up in a house where if there wasn't a cap on the truck, there was one on horses waiting to go on as needed. So that said, it's just kinda hard for me to wrap my head around doing something that limits the ability to carry/secure cargo.

so in an 8 ft bed this removes not even 6 inchs of cargo space? i just hauled 500 lbs of steel to the junkyard the other day and had noooo issues whatsoever doing it with the tailgate closed :thumbsup
