As it says, i'm on the hunt for a new muscle car, something that needs little to no work. I've pretty much exhausted my craigslist, ebay & auto trader searches and found a couple of likeable prospects, but I want to find out what fellow BCM'rs has.

I am rather specific to what i'm looking for, pretty much i'm not into red. I would rather have manual trans but pending on the application (say in an older Camaro/Firebird), auto may be okay too. Newer modded birds are welcome. :)

Just let me know if anyone has anything, or knows someone. I'm looking in the $10,000 range, cash. Thanks.

I really hope you have better luck than I have lately. Even in this economy, NO one wants to give them away.

Well, there are alot of nice ones on Auto Trader that i'd look at, I mean i'm not looking for a fully restored 1969 Camaro RS/SS for 10k or below. I'm just looking for something half way decent.

If you were planning on bouncing back and getting back in to the car scene so quick why did you even sell your 92? That car was nice as hell. Winter is coming, bank the money for a few months, collect intrest then go look.

Yah, the 94 is an LT1, but really it all depends on what it is. It doesn't HAVE to be an LS1

Nix

Why does it have a LS1 front end? Accident? I looks like a V6/Formula front clip.

The cash I got from that enabled me to refinance my house, drop the interest rate from 11% down to a fixed for 30 yr 5.5%. I've already gotten that $$,$$$ back. :)

See other response.

What am I missing? It says its a 94 which is an LT1 from 1993-1997, that front end is from a 1998-2002. Im blind, what did I miss in your other response? Actually the fenders aren't correct either I don't believe? I would guess it has some info on the VIN# that may be intresting?

This is what that 1994 TA should look like Mike.

Oh, I thought you were debating the LT1 vs an LS1, which is why I responded with that. I didn't know you were debating the front end, I didn't read your post like that. That front end is from a 98 - 2002?

Nix
11-11-2009, 08:55 PM
Yes sir. Looks at the steering wheel also, that is orig. The front end and fenders are from a LS1 based car. Look behind the front wheels, there are vents, those were only on LS1 based TA's.

Im guessing that it had body work due to an accident at some point or another.

Im guessing accident IRISH. It must have been wrecked/hit good at one point. Steer clear of that one Mike.

Its probably a scam, from the research i've done, it seems like an awfully good price for the car. Hope it works out, i'll keep ya posted. :)

Had one of those. 70 1/2 Z28 (real one) non original motor, 4-spd, 4.11's, great driver. Got it at Jefferson back when shit was realistic priced in late 90's. Paid $3500 for it complete, just a rod knock in the motor. GREAT body. Shorty spoiler with the full bumper, not a split. Car was my favorite one to drive out of everything I've ever had

There has been a car exactly like that on craigslist for a few months now. IIRC it priced @ $10.5k on there. I just saw it posted on there last week.

Pont 400, Turbo 400 trans. Mild cam, edelbrock intake, Holley 650 DP

Yah, that is a pinion seal leak. Among a couple of other leaks, but oh well. It gives me somethin to do over the winter.

I'll probably pull the motor/trans to clean it up a bit.
