'96 Hood Release

Anyone know how the hell to get the damn hood open when there is an apparent issue with the hood release? Any tips or tricks would help

Usually you can get up under there & release it with a 90 degree pick.
they can be a biatch but see this all the time at work.
I cannot think of that exact truck but gonna have to get under it or thru the grill & see what kind of access you have.
Then work from there. The cable obviously comes in from the drivers side at the bottom.
If it didn't break at the latch you can cut the cable too & then peel back the sheath to get the inner cable to release it.
Otherwise your stuck trying to release the latch manually. the release catch is @ the bottom of the latch assembly.

does it pop when you pull it but not open? mine would do this and i just beat on the hood with some one pulling the release. then i lubed the latch and it seemed to help
