silencers rapid fire atach shot guns to the guns all sorts of cool stuff. you can get full auto pistols grenade launchers different kinds of perks. In the online play thats just some of the stuff youc an do in single player you play with what you get.

i always used a silencer and the a/v jammer. never pop up on radar even when you are shooting

They don't have to SEE you, they are just firing in the general vicinity of seeing muzzle flashes. even if they DID see you, the auto's don't fire a consistent spread. It's more just them wasting a whole bunch of rounds at you rlocation but they will eventually hit you. It's why I always used the above. EVERYONE can see the muzzle flash otherwise, and TOO many people play this game staring at the radar anyways, even if you are playing hardcore. There's too many idiots that don't know how to play that get themselves shot up every 20 seconds and give the other team the ability to bring it up.

i never got any of the other perks, only because that more bullet damage was a bullshit thing, increase reload was really only good in WOW on the DP28, juggernaut is for bitches and it doesn't do shit anyways(if there is one bullet coming your way, there is usually another following it), and on down the list. I will say a double tap P90 w/ a silencer always sounded badass

I love that thing! When used with the extra blast shield that damm thing is impervious to bullets. It is easy to get killed though, you gotta shot em from the side, hit em from behind or shot at the feet to take them down. most people arent using it right. 2 riot shield holders followed by a few shooters will wipe out an entire group.

After playing the game for awhile, it has it's ups and downs. Being a fan of real guns, and having heard most of them fire it real life at one time or another, the sounds are way off. WaW, they were SPOT ON. Still hate the fact that the P90 (or any other sub gun) can take you out the map away, when you are sittting there with a rifle hitting the guy shooting you. It's also harder now until you get some of the better perks in the game than it used to be (mainly the Bling perk).

Gameplay is fun though, love running and gunning with a P90 and G18:thumbsup

ive got about 10 hours in and i think i'm lv 25 or 26 i hate some matches i get into where i can't even spawn with out dieing its really starting to piss me off !!! so far my favorite guns are the rpd scar and off course the barrett.

The spawning is frustrating - I can't count the number of times that I have spawned right in front of someone or had a grenade explode immidiately after spawning.

damn SMG's are wrecking that. run and gun, no sitting back sniping in this game for me.

New favorite combo... thermal and a silencer w/ cold blooded pro and bling pro w/ the M4 or SCAR and then the G18 w/ FMJ and halographic site. Perfect mix for alot of the darker maps like estate, wasteland, underpass, skidrow, etc..

pretty much got all the "pro" for the perks, but i never have seen a difference on stopping power so I never have used it. either the hardline for the small maps or cold blooded for med. and larger maps

I love all the little challenges though. One of them is to get the last kill by having a crate FALL on an enemy. I'd LOVE to see someone who got that challenge.

EDIT - it does suck though, i thought the kills ended at 500, then i thought 750, now they go to 1000, so I'm hoping it ends there, haha. Got 850 on both M4 and SCAR so we'll see. Blue tiger camo looks awesome :)

New favorite thing, is take the javelin launcher on Estate and then just aim it at the greenhouse or around that area, always gonna get someone in taht area cause it takes so long for the missle to hit, haha. Or aim it at the front door or balcony of the big house.

1: when i was playing a special op with a guy, everytime some action started it got real slow and one time it booted us out. would that be my internet speed or have other people noticed server problems in special ops.

2: what the hell is with the headset? do you just plug that thing in or do you have to turn it on somewhere?? do a lot of people use them or is it not the cool thing to do??

3: what is the quickest way for someone like me to rank up? can you rank up in special ops or only the free for all and other games?

3. Domination and Headquaters are the easiest way to rank up. Completing gun challenges and kill people works as well.

and yes, 1000 kills finally maxes out the damm gun and gives you 10k in xp! My favs right now are the M4 and P90 both with ninja, cold blooded, silncers, marathon pro. I just run and gun now, the maps are so damm big you could be waiting forever for a kill in the perfect spot and now they really dont exist either plus having only 1 claymore sucks for sniping and protecting your rear.

All my pro challenges have been done forever. So there is no help from those. Gun challenges and random super bonuses from matches when i go 35-1 (31 kills before my first death). I got 15k for that one.

I've been hitting 10kish points with NO challenges in HQ's. Usually that's with 50-60 kills. I think best sofar with no challenges was 12,800 pts. Although there's always the low 5k points games when your stuck with noobs that don't go for the spot.

well i logged a few hours on it over the weekend and realize that i suck, LOL! i was getting killed like crazy. started getting the hang of it later in the day yesterday and finally started seeing some double digit kills and some decent points. i haven't played a FPS like this since 007 for the n64 LOL. HQ is my favorite game by far. the other games give people the chance to camp out, which i hate. even in HQ is seems that some have the HQ locations memorized and still camp out but it is not as bad as in deathmatch. the respawning points seem to be very random and i find myself starting the matches far away from my team members?!?! even though the respawning points are random it does not prevent people from campiing over the top of them. nothing is more frustrating then getting killed for the 7th time by the same guy and then respawning and dying before you can move. other thing that i do not like is the fact that us newbs get thrown in with you experts. i realize that there should be some co-mingling but when i am at a 20 and everyone else playing is 40-70?!?!? kind of annoying. it wouldn't be bad if not for all the perks and the weapons advantages. i swear i am hitting people 5-6 times with bullets and they are not going down. they run right up to me taking my bullets and slit my throat?!?! over and over and over and over.

being new to xbox live, i am getting a kick out of the smacktalk done by the 14 year olds! classic.

the last few times i played have me pretty much ready to trade the game in. teammates and enemies not going for the hq, just hanging out shooting people. why not just play deathmatch if you want to do that?? because they know that people like me that want to rank up and get points are going to be running around trying to capture the HQs. it is horseshit. then after the match they brag about 15 kills and 0 deaths even though they lost the hq match?!?!?

it is not the newbs that camp out and kill me in HQ, it is the guys that are 60-70 that are going for kill numbers. they should be in deathmatch IMO. not a big deal, it is a game, and even when i am getting slaughtered by campers i am still having fun.

Akimbo anything, let alone Akimbo 1887 Shotguns - RIDICULOUS. You don't even have to aim with the shotguns, just pull the trigger when you see someone - it kills anything in your front arc basically...

Heartbeat sensors that somehow in a battlefield full of shooting, explosions can not only pick up heartbeats 100+ yards away, but can also distinguish between friendly and enemy heartbeats - LOL. This has ruined any form of actually sneaking around, particularly in Search and Destroy. You almost HAVE to have Ninja on for Search, because it seems tons of douchebags use the heartbeat sensor.

Thermal sight - see above.

Riot Shield - Fun, but come on it is bullet proof, RPG proof, explosion proof, etc. and getting hit by two bonks with a plastic shield kills you? - GHEY.

This doesn't even cover the bullshit glitches like the Javelin. Tons of people seem to be doing the glitch where you run around with the Javelin out then when you kill them it instantly goes off, killing you. Sucks hard for game like headquarters where people do it. The Javelin is an IR guided anti tank weapon it shouldn't even be in the game...

I do like some of the stuff like being able to chose your killstreak rewards from a nice selection, the new perk system with a more varied selection and pro versions. I like the new version of headquarters a lot where it doesn't go "live" for awhile preventing the team that happens to be in it or near it or spawn near it from just getting it right away - gives a chance for both teams to get over to it and fight over it before it goes "live".

Otherwise though, seems to me that they added too much BS stuff for little kids like the Akimbo dual wielding. I'd really rather it was more "realistic" and I really would rather they actually bothered to model the ballistics or something. I really think its BS that every gun shoots laser straight, meaning you can shoot someone 500 yards away with a pistol even. The "range" characteristic doesn't seem to do much at all, you can hit people with anything from a submachine gun to a pistol just as far as a sniper rifle... The red dot on just about any gun works for me just as well as any other scope or long range gun.

Borderlands is great. Tons of fun multiplayer. Its like a cross between a FPS and a RPG, and a MMORPG. Its got loot like Diablo or WOW, missions/quests a lot like WOW, with shooting like a FPS.

Only issue I had with it was my son and I burned through the content pretty quick, but there is already the first DLC for it available which I will probably pick up real soon.

It seems like there is for whatever reason a much much higher D-bag factor than any other game I have played including the last two COD releases....

I play with my 14 year old son often, and I really don't need to deal with all the "hard" lol individuals talking smack in a stupid video game. "Normal" smack talking is fine but I swear I have heard things like the N word more in the last few weeks since release than I have in years. There just seems to be a ton of jagoffs that all they do is throw around the N and the F and etc. non stop, for no reason. There's also a ton of D-bag little kids that sit there and sing, play stupid music, talk all retarded just to be annoying. I use the mute button quite frequently, but to me the whole point of the game is to play tactics/as a team. Kind of hard to do when half your team is D-bags or are muted. Its hard for me to find a game where I can get 6 people that are all actually playing and talking about what is going on instead of stupid shit, or people hiding/camping, or sitting there unsuccessfully trying to snipe, etc., going nowhere near objectives...

Yeah, I don't think it matters how far away you are. It's odd, if you watch the kill cam it shoots it straight up in the air, and then it comes down on you. Annoying.

Haha, 30 feet, get a handgun with a tactical knife thrown in there and it's like they teleport from 1/2 the map away. Some sausage got like 36 kills and ended the game with a Nuke in a game I was playing this weekend, it makes me want to go back and just play zombies on WaW.

To add to this list I encountered a nuke last night. no big deal thinking the guy was that good until it happened 1 more time until we figured out 2 doucebags were sitting in a corner with cold blooded/nija pro/silencers and tactical insertion and 1 guy was killing his buddy 25 times in a row then nuking the entire board. They took turns doing this until we all caught on then spent the entire next match just killing them with everyone giving up their hiding spots. It was total bs and I ended up changing games. My new big b!tch is teh commando pro......how in the fuck can a guy stab you from like 20' away while I am unloading a aug machine gun into him? total bs.

someone showed me a nasty little perk with that now and its basically true! use the commando pro/lightweight/marathon pro perks/kill streak must be 4 kill care package and use the P90/G18 and just run and stab people. Once you get the perk to call in the care package dont toss the flare, just hold it and run and continue stabbing, your speed almost doubles! You run right over claymores, run out away from air assaults and thermal barely catches you. I used that shit on rust and it was hysterical even when shooting people on the run with the G18(friggin nasty fast shot btw!)

Extract the folder with WinRAR
Now move the "PS3" Folder to your flashdrive.
Safely remove the flashdrive from your computer.
Plug in your flashdrive into your PS3.
Go to "SAVE DATA UTILITY" and copy the gamesave that is in your FLASHDRIVE onto the PS3.
Start up Modern Warfare 2
Go to split screen and load up the profile.
You will get some error, that's fine.
After you get the error just go back to splitscreen and start the game.
You should have everything unlocked.

Played it, ranked up to level 70... i don't see a point in prestige unless you REALLY like the game, or have some deep need to impress people or make them think you are really good. Right when it came out and a bunch of us were level 15-20 and just WRECKING people that were prestige level 2 already, it just didn't make sense. At some point with these games, you are prestige ONLY cause you've played SOOOO long. It's not that you are good, it's just you've sat on the thing for 7 days of playtime.

Hell I rented it, got to level 50, bought it, got to level 70, and then sold it to Myles, haha. I'd rather play something new/different.

It's shit like this that is gonna ruin any hope of MAG being any good once people find the glitches.

I like the game alot aside from the knife in the corner nuke em faggots and the obvious glitches that make it not fun. I wont be prestige this time, instead I am working towards every challenge being completed for every guy! I am glad to not be playing this on ps3 if what I have heard is true with how easy it is to boost your guns and ranking. I am very surprised at how many people are aholes online this time around and how many people blatantly cheat. I think I spend as much time changing gun classes as I do reporting people that fuck up entire games.
