I guess when you've been to as many drag strips as we have all over the country, you would think Memphis was pretty nice. Now if you ran down those same tracks as I have, you would think Memphis was great. The track was kept up well, and the shut down was phenomenal with a soft right sweep to it- at 180 you didn't even have to pull the 'chute there was so much real estate.
RIP Memphis-where NMCA and Fastest Street Car began.:(
Oh and BTW, I REALLY miss Platinum Plus!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headbang

Oy, many of my dollars disappeared into that black-hole. Many. For all the cash I spent in Memphis in the few trips I made there, I'll bet half of it went in to that place, or places just like it. I think I still have my $175 :wow Platinum-Plus t-shirt somewhere...:alcoholic:durr

Bet ya it's open again next season. There is a ton of talk about possible owners including Al Anabi purchasing it. Don't be surprised if the price is right that the track is open for business sooner then later. My understanding is that it's a turn key operation too.

I hope you are right.
