i will wait for all the details before i jump to any conclusions and start the "what ifs". i would bet more than 6 people would be dead if 2 gunman went on a shooting spree at a mall!?!? i am sure that our brave men and women did everything possible to take control of the situation.

It's for the people that say whenever theres a mall shooting or a school shooting how allowing everyone to carry a gun would prevent that from happening. This happened at a fucking military base filled with people who are actually trained with their weapons and shit still happens.
It's horrible that something like this occurs, but it's just proof shit happens.

Police surrounded the 42006 building, said to be used for traumatic brain injuries, on Fort Hood and fired shots at a male suspect in an Army uniform with a Major rank. The suspect was injured, but has now run in to another building.

Sofar 12 dead and 31 wounded, making that 43 total shot. As of right now 3 shooters 1 dead 2 arrested. The dead one was Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan. May he rot in fucking hell.

I was based out of Hood in the early 80s That place is huge. I know that place well. Tragic. How the fuck a Dr Major was allowed to carry a side arm is beyond me.

Also the shooting was at the Soldier Readiness Center which is for Soldiers getting ready to deploy.

I have no words for this whole thing. If you were a soldier there wouldnt you run to his side and support him thinking someone was attacking him and then all of a sudden he turns on you..........

The only thing that worries me is about how they constantly continue to talk about how he was "harassed" by his peers. Also how he "tried to get an attorney" to get out of the Army. I know it might sound foolish, but sometimes you need to look at the past in order to prevent such events from reoccuring.
There is no room to say "oh, this poor guy." Even if he went eye-for-an-eye, it would have never escalated this far.

If true, it would be after the fact. McVeigh claimed "science was his religion." Some sources also sight that McVeigh did not convert to Islam. Rather, one of his jail-mates made repeated attempts to convert him but to no avail.

they said he was openly criticizing the war and very upset that he was getting sent back and was trying to not get redeployed....if that was the case, why wasnt he on a watch list or some shit? Even his past c/o commented on his mental status and he had issues with his prior assignments. This pos should have been sent for a psyche eval a long ass time ago or better yet when they saw his crazy ass statements online prior to this why wasnt he pulled then? Isnt he property of the military in a sense? as in, if he was publicly making anti military/govt threats they could court martial him or demote his ass? They knew he was posting online at various radical forums.
