-we know if we get sick of her, we can just put her in the garage
-cause we are constantly worried about other men touching or stealing her away
-they takes all our focking money
-they want and need all of our focking time
-when we go out on a weekend night with her, we want to impress other guys, but more importantly other women
-if we get really sick of her, we can offer her in a trade for a new one
-we buy her big expensive things to wear, only to be broken
-when you get pissed at her, you really want to kick her but you just don't have the heart
-she gets moody. sometimes she acts better than ever, sometimes shes not running so hot

Well, not "everybody" refers to their car as a female. Many guys who are into cars are heterosexual, and are in love with their cars also, so they get a girls name, like Betty or whatever. Maybe gay guys name their paintbrush, I don't know, or care.
Some women I've seen name their car with a guy's name, and refer to it as "he".
I have seen some women name their car with girls names, haven't asked why.

Men also name their boats and other toys and refer to them as girls.
