This guy hit a deer on the freeway at 70mph with his two little daughters in the car :eek: luckily no one was hurt and the airbags didn't even go off!

Wow, looks almost exactly like the damage my wife had with the GTI, hood bumper, grill ,fender. Glad the damn thing didn't go up onto the windshield. Airbags won't fire (they didn't on mine either) since the overall impact wasn't bad enough.

i would say that if that is all the damage that was done, everyone was safe, and the airbags didn't even go off that.....mustang>deer, LOL!

A friend of mine who was there showed lots of self control by not saying "that'll buff out", lol the Mustang owner would've flipped he was in such a bad mood.

Yeah the car has to slow down fast enough to "wake up" the bag computer to realize it needs to deploy them. Deer = easily moveable object.

The new Mustangs do their job. They crumple and transfer energy into the car and not the passengers. Ford built more than one, so this will just add to their profits. Good to walk away and pic a different color (Screaming yellow is no longer an option).

yeah it looks an awful lot like the damage to my GTI and I got dollars to donuts that GTI's parts were more expensive, probably in the neighborhood of 5g

yeah, i would think that it would be fixable. if the insurance company totals it, it may make a good project car for cheap.

Totally. They usually only total vehicles if there is frame damage, the car is too old, or if the bags are blown

Yeah, besides the core support touching the motor, both fenders were still straight

Yeah, it is definitely fixable. I've seen worse off cars get fixed for under $6K.
