New Best from Norwalk OH, Thursday 4/29

60ft..............1.494
1/8th............6.614
1/8th mph.....104.71
1/4..............10.352
1/4 mph........131.47

Ran a .41 off the trailer then two .35s and a .36 all at 131mph, one pass was 131.9. I've got the fuel where it should be but still only 22psi, 60ft is still off, I'm hoping a set of good shocks will put me in the low 1.40s, still might be, could be, should be a bit more in it..... :shades Looks like its time to step up to bigger injectors, I'm driving 72s at 90% right now... :stare

Friday was race day, rained allllllll freakin day.........so they called it :ripped:

Now where are those Honda Boys?...... :hump2:

Great times Keith! i think you got quite a bit more in that car. are you leaving off a brake or foot? Can't wait to see what she's got in her. What boost levels are you trying to attain?

Thanks......Its off the foot brake, I've got a Stage Right Brake in the tranny but I've never used it. Its looking more and more like I'm going to go to a TH400, I'm driving though the convertor now and it seems that nobody can build a good 10 sec Non-Lockup Convertor for a 200R4.

I've run 30+psi with my Facory Stock Motor...:stare At some point the cast iron heads and stock headers are not going to flow anymore and it just won't go any faster. I was hoping it would run 10.3s @ 130 in 50 degree weather set on kill, it was 85 on Thursday with a mild tune-up.... :)

Oh come on now... i asked if it was possible if you could run a 9 and you said no :) off the brake to a 1.3x and some more boost and you would assume it was possible :) or atleast i do, haha

I still don't think it will run a nine with all the stock parts thats still on it......:confused I agree that it will take a 1.35 or so 60ft, the car is just to front heavy with to small of a tire. Heres (http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=04XC0023000217&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1) a picture from Thursday, the track was as good as any track I've ever been on, I was still spinning the tires.

I need to find some lightweight 125 pounder to drive it for me...... :3gears:

i'm bout 175, but i think Tom is at the 150 range :) i'm sure either of us would love a pass in that :) hahaha.

do you have any suspension travel limiters on the car? that front end just looks awfully extended. I wonder if you put some travel limiters up front it would pull those tires a bit more off the ground while transfering basically all the weight to the tires.

If its still running at the end of the year I'll probably put Tom in it just to see if it will make a difference.

I don't have limiters on it, I "think" I need to get as much weight on the rear tires as possible, next time I have the motor out I was going to put some in just to tune with. I put some air in the air bags after the first pass, helped some so I'm thinking I don't have enough shock and/or spring in the rear, QA1s are next on the list once the $$$'s there.

i just bought some QA1 rears :) although the $ ain't there for the fronts , haha. what did you set the airbags at? do you have them on both sides or just right rear?

I've got the rear sway bar set-up from HR Parts, kind of like the Wolf set-up so I don't need the air bags to pre-load the chassis. I started with 10psi in each side, had the to much pressure bounce 10 feet out then droped it back to 5. I "think" I need a stiffer spring then stiffin up the rebound on the shocks to eliminate the bounce.... :confused I'm just guessing, I really need to get it on film sometime and go frame by frame to see what its doing. I had a good handle on it when it was running high 10's/low 11s, I've kind of lost that handle now that I'm making more power.
