Thinking about shipping a car from Arkansas to here instead of going down there to pick it up with a friend's truck and a rented trailer. Any suggestions on who to ship through or a ballpark on the cost?

Car is being shipped from Little Rock, AR to Milwaukee, WI. Car is drivable and can be put on an open trailer. Its a 1992 Mitsu VR-4.

Thanks!

Yes, it's AWD.

Rear turbo is shot on the car, preferable not to drive it all the way up here.

here is my post from the last shipper I used...

"I found a great shipper and his reviews were excellent not to mention his rates. He also carries cargo insurance and wont transfer your car from hauler to hauler.

Jeff with http://www.autohaulersinc.com 877-777-0077 My shipping quote was $450-$495(INOP car) fully insured from NJ to WI."

I can't remeber the site but i remember seeing a place where you post your "haul" and people bid to get the job.

I just looked into getting a car back from TN. I got quotes through this website... https://www.uship.com/

Check it out, it should help a lot. My average quote was about $750 on an open multi-car trailer.

It's about 18 hours drive from Little Rock, AR to Milwaukee. I do this twice a year for work. It's not a bad drive, but you have to go all the way through AR and then all the way through MO to St. Louis and then up through IL to Beloit, WI.

If the weather was OK it would be a blast to do a road trip.

It's my car, crazy situation.

Yes, I think I am going to take a road trip to go get it. I have driven down there and back on about 4 different occasions and I know with 2 breaks for gas/food I can do it in 11 hours one way in my GSX.

Thanks for the ideas/input everyone.

It cost me about $5-600 to make the trip from here to pueblo CO and back in a crewcab dualie and trailer to get my 64. Including gas, food, etc. Gas prices were about the same as they are now, maybe 10 cents higher

Do you go under the speed limit?

I drove from here to beloit, then through Ill, MO, OK , and then TX. It took me about 18 hours and I stopped for food a couple times and gas a bunch. That was to Fort Worth.

as stated in the other thread, I'm heading down to TX, and a diversion to AK isn't too hard for me...I'll be leaving sat or sun next week sometime. I can drop you off if you're driving the car back....

For me, I'm usually down around Waco Tx (~2hr south of Dallas) in 18hours...without going crazy fast either.

A buddy used uship a few times now, first couple were ok, this last one the guy drove his brand new SVT Raptor off the side of the trailer. $1600 worth of damage and he finally now has his brand new truck.

I guess I may be confused. We are talking about hauling a car back? If you are driving just the car, then yeah, I made it in 11 1/2 hours last time.

You can contact me to see if we have a truck around there when you want to do it and get a very good rate! And once it gets back to our yard we can put it on a roll back and bring it to you or you can pick it up were in Franklin,WI.
