Long story short my father is VERY ill and he has a big collection. I need help identifying them and maybe getting a rough idea of how to price. Also reloading stuff.

I can help, just PM me. I worked at Gander behind the counter and then as an assistant gunsmith, so I can tell you real world values, and trade in values. I also have the newest copy of Blue Book of Gun Values, which will be invaluable in helping ID and value the firearms.


Sorry to hear about your dad, if he's still able make sure to ask him if there's anything he doesn't want sold, as personal attachement to firearms can run very deep.

Like cars and auto parts sales there values are a little low at the moment, Gunbroker.com and Guns America are reflecting it in the pricing.

I've got a solid grasp on rifle values and have a library of old Gun digests for real old stuff. I'm also always in the market to buy certain rifles, both rimfire and centerfire.
