For sale is a refurbished IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad R52 1.86GHz Centrino notebook computer. It has 1.5gigs of DDR2 RAM, a 60gig hard drive, wireless LAN built in (means no card sticking out the side), TWO good batteries (a 6 cell -AND- an extended 9 cell), power supply/cord and a set of restore DVD's. It was built back in late 2006 and was purchased new in late 2006/early 2007, so it is only 2.5 years old or so. It has IBM's exclusive Active Protection System, which is essentially an air bag for your hard drive. It will detect any abrubt changes in motion and will temporarily stop the hard drive to help protect data. It is in -VERY- good condition, as the keyboard looks like it has hardly even been used. There are no scratches nor are there any dead pixels on the display, which is nice and bright. ThinkPad notebooks are the most awarded line of mobile computers and the R Series were anywhere from $1,800 - $3,000 when new, depending on options. Seeing I have included a set of restore DVD's, it will make it a breeze to return your laptop to its current state in the event that it's ever needed.

Windows XP Professional SP3 is installed, updated, LEGAL, fully activated and with a COA sticker on the bottom of the laptop. System is fresh, clean, optimized, defragged, free of spyware and viruses, loaded with software and ready to be used. This is not just a used computer out of somebody's house, it has been completely gone over and restored to ensure it's in good operating condition. As a result, you will not be getting someone else's problems, data, error messages or corrupt operating system. It's faster now than it ever was new. If you have ever been unfortunate enough to use a proprietary computer system pre-configured from the factory (like those bought at Best Buy, Circuit City, Dell, Gateway, Hewlett Packard, etc.) you should appreciate how I set this system up. I do much more than simply load an operating system and install programs -- I go through and streamline everything, making the computer boot faster, run smoother, and operate more efficiently. Doing this takes quite a bit of time, as I spend a minimum of 7-8 hours correctly and meticulously setting up this system. I DO NOT just simply throw in a OEM system restore disk, walk away and then come back 45 minutes later to put it up for sale, as all that accomplishes is installs old and outdated applications and drivers! After loading XP Professional SP3, I then install the latest version of DirectX 9c (which is released every 3 months) and then I install all of the latest -reference- drivers directly from the hardware manufacturers site and install them in the -correct- order to achieve optimum performance, stability and reliability. I then download and install all Windows updates and security patches to date. Once all this is done, and only then, do I start to install programs and applications. This is important because you first have to build a stable "base" before loading any applications or software to ensure optimum performance and stability. Everything is in 100% working order and ready to be used. I will guarantee that you will find the computing experience much more enjoyable on this laptop I set up compared to any store purchased laptop.

It has anti-spyware and anti-virus software installed, this will help keep the computer clean and spyware/virus free. I also installed a host of system utilities that will allow you to keep the computer optimized and operating in tip top shape. These utilities are -very- efficient and effective while not using any system resources, so they will not slow down the PC one bit. There are some utilities out there, such as Norton SystemWorks, that use quite a bit of system resources which will noticeably slow your system down. I will show the buyer what these utilities are and what should be done in order to keep the PC clean and optimized. &nbsp I will also include an instruction sheet of step by step instructions of how to use the installed system utilities so the buyer will be able to keep their own system clean and optimized. A computer isn't like your TV in terms of maintenance; turn it on and all is well. A PC is more like your auto and does require periodic maintenance to help keep it operating efficiently.

I will have it setup and online for anybody who wants to stop by and check it out in person. You will be able to browse the web and check everything out in person before you buy. This assures the buyer that they will not be disappointed. Shipping is available, contact me for details. See the details below for specifications and pictures.

I will return all emails and phone calls promptly.

Email me or call me if you are interested, want to come see it or have any questions. $295 + shipping.
