Russ,

If you want try giving Servant Insurance a call. I have my Car insurance thru them and my parents have everything thru them. They are independant and will shop for the best deal for you from multiple different companies. They have offices in Franklin and Oshkosh.

414-421-9200 I usually deal with Debbie Goetzel.

I think I'm in the mid 400s. Give my agent a ring, he'll find you the best rate. Should be able to bring that down a little bit.

glad you posted.i just recieved my letter of renewal from farmers friday. I was shocked to see it up to 797 for me. I do pay more than most because of the dog I have, but i noticed they also added me as having a fireplace, which i dont have. Im not sure if thats just a way for the agent to make extra $$ when the policy holder doesnt look at the renewal info.....hmm.

They are asking lots of question, I have a hydrant on the property, garage is not attached so I hope to be on low end being I only need to cover 126k.

Italian Death Masstiff's are not on the dogs in question list :)

Yea seems a bit high Russ. I think my payment is ~575, and that's on a house which is a little under 300k without the land. Fireplace and detached garage. Although that was before I got my German Shepherd... Not sure how much more it will be with the dog.

I'm insured through AAA, maybe give them a call and get a quote.

and my agent tells me that farmers doesnt charge any extra for the fireplace.
it might be time to rid of the dog,as it looks like thats the only reason he can come up with for my rates being twice as much as some of the comparables on this thread.
damn crooks

Damn... that sucks. I would continue to shop around Ron.

Otherwise you could probably have them remove the dog... I would assume that means that they won't cover anything if the dog bites/hurts someone, but at least your house would be covered. I would at least ask if you can do that before getting rid of snoop :crying
