Has anyone on here ever tried 5-hour Energy?

When I'm looking at energy drinks, I opt for the Monster Java's. I tried a 5 hour energy shot once. I was way overtired, so it was kinda fuckin with me. I'd like to try it again under normal circumstances.

it works.... energy drinks don't really work for me, when i do drink them i stick to sugar free energy drinks. but 5 hr energy does work, at least for me. just do'nt get the citrus, it tastes like shyt

If you read the back of the 5 hours, there is a disclaimer saying that some users may experience may experience a "vitamin b rush"... Yea, that happened to me, 15 minutes of feeling on the edge of death... Will not touch those thing ever again.

They all have that crappy nutrasweet taste, but I think they definitely work.
I'll usually buy one of those and a liter of water, pound the shot and take my time with the water. Hydration helps you stay awake too.

i tried them before, I like the citrus flavor over the grape though. They work pretty good for me especially working 6-6 3rd shift.

i'd have those over any of the large drinks like monster/red bull/NOS Energy/etc....

I took two in a row at Myle's house when time during a Rock Band party and was great through like 3-4am and that was after working 10 hours at the dealership.

It could be a psychological thing and only flavored water, haha

i use them plowing snow and they seemed to keep me awake at an even level no spike or crash...worked better than anything else i used...sometimes i mix them with a Propel or Vitamin water, i usually get the berry.

I love 'em. I can't have sugar, and too much caffeine bothers my guts, so this stuff works great for me. After about a 15 minutes to a half hour I'm usually good for at LEAST 5 hours. I usually only drink a half-bottle and save the other half in the fridge for the next time. (It stores just fine in the fridge despite what it says on the bottle. I've kept half bottles for up to a week.) Berry flavor is best, and Walmart/Sam's has really good pricing. $4.4? for a two pack, $11.88 for a six pack at Walmart. It you really like it, I just picked up a 24 pack at Sam's for $36.88. It worked out to around $1.54 a bottle. Compare that to your typical convenience store price and you'll save a ton.

Yes, I have used it. Since I only weigh 115 pounds, I only tried a half, which was plenty. After about 20 to 30 minutes my heart was racing and I felt almost a sort of anxiety. My body was pulsing with energy, basically a vitamin B rush. It sucked. Now I keep to coffee and stay away from that stuff.

Excellent info HITMAN. I never even thought of that. I was just curious as to everyones take on this stuff. Obviously it will work for some and not for others. For me it seemed to do something and give me more of a step and there was no "crash" or hitting that preverable wall.

I almost never have energy drinks. I have tried 5 hour on a few occasions. Seems to work and I didn't crash. I'd recommend it.

No, there shouldn't really be any crash. Usually the crashes from energy drinks are due to the high amount of sugar. So, if the 5 hour energy works for you, great! Saves the extra calories as well.

I love them, I sometimes use the extra strength ones. You can feel them working after about 5 mins.

I can't stand the taste of any other energy drink.

It does work like magic on me. I get a hot flash then I geek out and get real chatty for about 30 minutes :-)
