i was watching it yesterday when they first said that there was a 6 year old stuck in a balloon. then it crashed and they couldn't find him, so they started a search. turns out the kid was never in the balloon and the whole family is messed up. the dad is a UFO weirdo and a wannabe scientist.

at the time they were being told by the older brother that he saw the little brother climb into the balloon before it lifted off the ground and they way it was flying they said something heavy was in the bottom of it so they thought for sure he was in it.

A 6yr old floating at 7,000 feet presumably in a balloon is very news worthy, the reality that unfolded and the truth after is not but the original story was.

this story gets crazier and crazier. heard on 620 that the dad wants to strike it rich very quickly so he is trying everything. worked i guess. the crazy part is why he wants to get rich fast. he beleives that the world is ending in 2012 when the sun is going to explode. he needs money fast to build a bunker so that he can survive the explosion.

what the hell he is going to do after he steps outside and realizes that without the sun he is going to die anyway, is anyones guess.
