my truck doesn't have cab lights but i want to have some installed. anyone recommend a good place? i just want stock chevy cab lights. nothing special.

it's an easy enough project. I'd do it myself personally. Hardest part would be having to pull the headliner down in front to route wires

maybe u should buy a truck next time with lights and then u wouldn't need to put them on, lol

THAT was another question i had. anyone know if they come prewired? like my brother (monstr913) truck had wires run for power mirrors already even though his came factory with manual mirrors. i do have snow plow prep package on my truck if that makes any difference.

Alot of trucks come prewired for the auto dim mirrors and compass so I would think that the dome light would be pre wired too.

I was under the assumption we were talking about cab clearance lights (roof)

Well its a pretty simple mistake Mr. Nazi. See, when people do things other than surf on message boards all the time, its easy to mistype somethings sometimes.

Doesn't take anything more then simple reading skills to discover a typing error. I was just confused and wanted to make sure we were all talking about the same thing.... cab clearance lights or dome lights. carry on.

I cant answer for Chevy, but all 2006+ Dodge rams have the connector in the Drivers side A pillar for the wiring, you just have to drill the holes and install a small wiring harness. I have installed them before, just measure 10 times before you drill.
