My cousin showed me this guys videos on youtube and I like it a lot. This guy is only 17 and has a really good rap style. He uses a lot of metaphor's and analogies. I'm sure a lot of guys on here won't really like it, but I know

Yes dude is cold for being 17. His flow is nice and the lyrics are sick.

Wonder if he has any mixtaped or anything. I hate seeing dudes like this with mad talent but don't get signed.

He has a few actually songs too.
They are really good as well. If you have Limewire/Frostwire, search for Tha Joker and you should find a few songs.

If he doesn't get signed, something is wrong! :headbang

A lot of underground/unsigned artists set up a recording area in a closet, sound proof it and bam, you have a recording studio, whats wrong with that?

I just found it funny with him trying to be all 'gangsta'......:)

I don't support crime, but I don't think he's posing about being a "thug" or "gangster", because he claims he was locked up already in the interview about him explaining why he disses soulja boy. :)

Jermaine Depri recorded Kris Kross Jump Around in the closet of his bedroom at his parents house.

Just pointing out that it's pretty common. Even "gangsters" have closets in their homes. :)

I downloaded dudes first mixtape and I' not feeling him any more. The "we do this for fun" tracks are pretty nice but the rest of the mixtape sounds just like some Soulda Boy shit but with way better lyrics.

Anyone remember the Missing Lynks CD from like 7 years ago? I was approached at a gas station and some guy sold me this CD, it was all Milwaukee underground rap.

This guy is pretty good, but I think I'd like it better if he was faster.

Deggy

He may not be the fastest rapper, and I too downloaded his mixtape. I enjoy it because he has impecable wordplay, some of the shit he says makes you laugh. Like; did he just say that?! I'm not really feeling that big gemini dude. And as for Tha Joker sounding like Soulja Boy, according to the YouTube video; Soulja Boy and him were friends up until Tha Joker went to jail for 7-8 months and when he got out heard a song by Soulja Boy stealing his "flow".

I'm a big fan of underground and local rap. I bought a cd for a dollar at state fair once and the group was called Bosses On My Team. I was sketch about it, but after listening I enjoyed it. If you guys have any more local stuff please PM me some links or names, or post on here for all to see.

I listen to hip hop and rap and he's not that good. I heard much of his lyrics before. Just another person rapping about things that they don't have and how dope they claim/think they are. Scale of 1-10 he's a 4 if that. But thanks for sharing.

OK, I listened. The flow is good but the lyrics are juvenile. C'mon..."I got money rollin in, and yer fan base is shrinkin'".....but he's rapping in a closet. "Passin' blunts to each other like it was a track event".....really now. I seen better poetry on bathroom walls.

Jay-Z calls those Now-N-Later raps. Rap about it now, maybe you'll get it later.

My biggest problem with hip-hp (yes I'm changing the subject) is that everyone is talkin about the same shit now. And like just what was said it's about stuff that these people don't even know about.

That's why someone like Jay-Z has been around for so long. He has more credibility then any rapper in the industry because he raps about shit HIS own life. On his first albums it was about his life selling drugs. He was wealthy before he even had a record deal. So when he talked about Lexus and boats, it was because he actually had them. He mentioned once about his first video (In My Lifetime) was payed for completely by him and Dam. The boat and cars in the video were actually theirs at the time. Not rented, no bs. They owned it.

On his second album he has a song called Imaginary Players. Which is the epitome of calling out all these dudes talking about shit they don't have.

God I hate where hip hop is right now. I know it's mostly because I'm getting older, but the shit these kids listen to is completely retarded.

I didn't feel like making a new thread, so I thought I'd just revive this one.

I found this rapper thanks to a friend of mine, pretty sick.

i suppose it depends how "underground" you want to go.
I listen to alot of Doom Tree and Rhymsayers artists, which are underground by most standards; however since it is a recognized label, its not as underground as the guy selling albums in his trunk. P.O.S., Brother Ali, Sage Francis etc

Deggy

Sage Francis is the shit!

I like him, I don't think he's amazing, but he's got talent and a bright future if he can switch up his style a little bit
