Anyone play in leagues?

I played in Romines League one year. Got an 8 ball break and got a key chain...Only thing I didn't like about it is how damn long it was. And even though it was only $10 a week by the time I'd eat and have a beer or two I was spending $30-$40/week there. I'd like to get into a smaller league somewhere if anyone has info about other places. I prefer 8 Ball.

all the leagues around me have started and $7-$10 seems to be the norm.

I def. would have played with you.

Anyone go up to Master Z's? I wish he would open one in the Milwaukee area. That one is really nice but even for me in New Berlin it's a trek.

I thought Master Z's was a retail business and not a place to shoot pool.....:confused

The Billiards Table at the Iron Horse is great. I'm not a league guy, but I wouldn't mind shooting around some nights. 262-902-4890.

Im not a league guy either but I like to shoot pool, I know back in the day BCM had a tourny with import perfection.

Yeah Master Z's is the old Sharkey's. I didn't like Sharkey's. I went in there years back with my wife and the people there were rude as hell. The place was a dumb too.

When I saw Master Z's guy was remodeling it I was pretty excited. I've been going to Romines for 15 years cause it's pretty much the only game in town. No pun intended. I def. like Master Z's more then Romines. At least as far as the tables go and that it's cleaner. I think both places though have a policy about hiring good looking staff/waitresses. I've you've been going to Romines over the years you know what I'm talking about.

I went to Sharkey's once about 7 years ago and thought it was a overpriced shit hole. I haven't been to Romines in a few years but it wasn't much better back then I don't think it has improved all that much in recent years, if any......

I guess I like Romines just because of the amount of tables and I have a lot of memories of shooting their with my dad.

Tuesdays is free pool at Fin N Feather on Loomis...
Wednesdays is $1/game bowling at AMF on 76th.

2 tables, never jam packed. Usually get there around 730 or so. Pretty much me/a buddy.. and later a few people come in to play against.
