We pulled in the driveway I go to the back of the wagon to open the back window and start hearing a crack. Turn around and watch my tree split in thirds.:wow
One of the large sections is laying across the road, one is laying into the neighbors tree across the street and the last third is still standing, looks like it might be a bit rotted inside. Hopefully the city gets here soon to take it down. It's actually their tree since it's between the sidewalk and street. I wish the winds would calm down since the part that is still up is leaning a bit towards my house, and will hit it if it falls this way

Just for sizing , it broke about 8 ft or so off the ground.

Wind was terrible in SM around 9. Power was out when I left. Saw a ton of OC police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances by the 3 way intersection of Pennsylvania/Nicholson and Milwaukee Ave. Also looked like half the neighborhood was outside with flash lights. :stare

Get to Madison and its not half what it was in milwaukee :wtf

We lost power at 10:30 and got it back at 2:30. News said 3600 still without power. I feel lucky.

Glad that tree didn't hit anything!

Yikes...that is quick service too, but I suppose if its in the road :) .

We have a tree thats pretty much dead, a big cottonwood that the city tagged and sprayed a big orange X on a few weeks ago...no note or message, had to call to verify it was them. We were in the process of getting it down, good to know they go in peoples backyards to look for dead stuff ;) .

My power came back on at 2:30 this morning, so I definitely appreciate those at WE Energies who are up at that time still working on getting everyone's power back on - thanks!

I was hunting the other day and a big tree snapped off about half way up and fell 15ft from me. It was at that point I decided to get out of the woods. It was calm for a little while but when that wind picked up I knew the deer wouldnt be moving and when the tree fell I thought my life was in danger lol. I can just imagine being in the woods one minute and then lights out the next. I could hear my friends saying well he had a good run lol.

I stopped home and saw the guys were here already taking care of the rest of it. It shook the house when it hit the street.:rolf
I went out and thanked them for taking care of it so quick. :thumbsup

I figured I'd be looking at the bare trunk for weeks.

I just called New Berlin Streets department a couple weeks ago to have them come look at a tree of mine that was hanging over the road that was completely dead. They came out by the end of the week and took down the entire 60' tree and cut it up into small-ish pieces. I was surprised at how quick they cam e out for city guys. lol.
