There was alot of wreckage at GLD on Sunday, including a ton of breakages, and one really damn good crash. Thankfully the guy was able to walk away from it generally unhurt.

It was a turbo hayabusa that launched and wheelied, and tried to keep in the run. That was when the turbo hit, and he went vertical with the bike flying up and him going down! The bike just barely missed falling onto him as he must have been doing around 60mph when he crashed.

There will have to be a YouTube video of this online shortly, as there were a ton of people videotaping it.

My buddies Dark Blue 4dr Civic ran a 11.7 and then he got banned till he gets a cage lol.

I guess Bee's civic ran a 9 second and then broke after the finish line?

Bee's brakes couldn't stop the car, and he downshifted too high into 3rd, trashing valvetrain and pistons, after he ran like a 9.XX at 155mph?

The worst day without a doubt I have ever been to at GLD!
I have never seen so much crap, what a bunch of junk!
I wouldn't trust driving 90% of the junk there to Walmart let alone down a race track!

Something tells me that guy is a shitty rider. Not saying i have ever draged a 300 hp motorcycle but come on. He doesn't even have his face shield down. Its a little hard to see at 150 mph, even with a windscreen. I've made a few pases on my old R6, to get a good launch you really have to ride the clutch out through 1st gear.

stock wheelbase sure. put a swingarm on that thing and let the bitch eat!!

as much as you want to ride the clutch, i'm sure you know how fast things can come up on a bike. even 100hp compared to 300hp.

I don't know I went to one last year because Ford day was cancelled and the make up date they combined with Import wars. It didn't seem as bad last year?

They had rent a cop security and at one time one of the guards buddies was in the back seat drinking a king can thinking he was all cool. Why have I never seen any and of the security guards for any other event, HMM I wonder.

I also saw one of the faster "Pro" type cars on a bye run drive through the water box without doing a burnout, dragging water all over the line. Then taking the light and pulling off.

Everytime i go to import wars its a given that there are atleast 5 cars that break and 1 wreck. Like you said, some of these cars shouldnt be going down the road let alone a dragstrip

Thats' what I thought....The bike just said GOODBYE to the rider real quick!

Right when the turbo spooled up, the bike just went airborne and then some!

didn't look like the guy on the busa did anything wrong just the tire stuck and the turbo spooled that much power will bring even the longest busa over on top. Hes just lucky the bike didn't crush him.

At least they run all of this shit on sundays, lets the track have all week to clean up and prep for the fast shit to get down.
