I will be in Fond Du Lac Oct. 10-11, anyone have a good used Spicer 50 from a '92 F-250 4x4, 4600# front axle?

dood was the bolt still in there,major fail

There isn't a bolt that holds the pinion shaft in, it's a roll pin, and there is still the pieces left in the case. Don't know how it broke, it was noisy when I bought it, and I hadn't used 4WD because I thought there was a bad pinion bearing. Literally, that is all the louder it was. So, this weekend was front end rebuild time, ball jts, 4 u jts, bearings, seals and all the usual parts, and then SURPRISE, chunks. So, the hunt is on. :stare

no the roll pin that goes threw the carrier,was the bolt still that that holds the pin in that keeps the side gears in?

It is a roll pin, no bolt

It made noise only in 4WD, never used it again , I knew it had to come apart before plow season.
