Whats your take on this?

Not a new idea. It's kind like a crude Desmodromic for cam-in-block engines. Desmodromic (think Ducati) is better and it's been perfected over many years.

This system seems fragile at best and they never revved that engine in the video at all. Those little links on the rocker arms look like a CATASTROPHIC valve train failure waiting to happen.:wow

Ah I see, so thats why most Ducati's I hear are noisey.

Well, that and I think they have dry clutches as well.

The set-up in that video shows no way no compensate for wear. (not that their may not be one) Solenoid actuated valves seems like a better investment.

Yeah, especially considering the reliability of N2O solonoids...

F1 still uses valve springs. They're just pneumatic. Good to well over 17,000rpms. :thumbsup

Hydraulic ware compensation is needed.

Look at how the rocker arm is connected to the valve. Seems this would torque the valve and wear on the valve guide and seal.

I was snooping on that site and a comment made..."in the late 60s and 70s, American V8 were running 12 to 1 compression ratio."...seems in my foggy memory, most were 10.5 to 1 or less. A few high perf engines might have exceeded that. Nice valve technology though.
