454 Vortec Heads

I've been doing some research on these lately because thats what I have in my truck stock and I plan on building it up.

If you look on the chevelle forums alot of guys take the vortec heads, gasket match, light porting, some bowl work,... and get pretty decent numbers out of them. There by no means brodix head but for a stock head that isn't to hard to come by they are pretty good. I have a few pictures of mine from when I have them off recently, you can see that there is alot to be gained just gasket matching, a good 1/8" all the way around.
