Any Toyota techs/parts guys on here?

At the very least I may be looking for a parts hookup. I am working on a 2002 Toyota Camry with a 3.0L V-6. When it is good and HOT occassionally it will surge/hesitate under light acceleration. It feels similar to MAF sensor issues we see on GM cars, but the traditional test method of unplugging the MAF makes the car run like shit. I did a little internet research and found a few people talking about EGR valve issues. I was just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge to share with me. I will try disconnecting the EGR valve and driving it tonight to see if it fixes the problem, but if it is common I would like to take parts home since I live pretty far from any Toyota dealers.
