1320PNY
09-27-2009, 10:56 PM
1320PNY is my vanity plate. I figure more people see and recognize the car. I also wear a shirt with my screen name to shows so people can identify me with my car.

Originally I wanted QRTR HRS but it was taken.

RanJer
09-27-2009, 10:56 PM
Was suprajer, cuz I had a Supra..and my (nick)name is Jer. then Jer. then RanJer... cuz i had a ranger, and ".." Now jeeperz cuz I had a jeep... Now I have a Prelude, an F150, and a Columbia Moped... and I'm not sure the admins will change it for me anymore. lol

mine is probably misinterpreted all the time. While I do think full throttle pulls are awesome, I honestly made the user name while I had just opened a can of FT energy drink... I remember thinking "eureka! Full Throttle...that's perfect!"

limpimpg
09-27-2009, 11:05 PM
limpimpg = for trying to drive too many 60-70 impalas home and then breaking down fixing them on the side of the road and limping them home. ex. fan belt broke used my shoe strings to spin water pump and fan worked was surprised. to get my 66 impala home. only could go like 10 mph though.

lordairgtar
09-27-2009, 11:32 PM
Lordairgtar...Mostly from my karaoke days. I was given a fret board (neck) by a KJ years ago and I was using it like an actual guitar. Some girl said "Hey, it's Captain Air Guitar". I eventually made my own prop guitar out of wood and used reflectors as pick ups. I wound up with a real guitar that no longer could be tuned because of a severe crack in the neck, so I took that and mounted LEDs in it that flashed to the music at karaoke. Now I have plain old electric guitars as props but I don't take them out much...I've kind of out grown that. So that nick name stuck until I started a DJ business and renamed myself Lord Air Guitar. The spelling of the forum name reflects the vanity plate "AIRGTAR" on my trucklet, hence Lordairgtar, or LAG as I am known on "other" forums I frequent.

Rocket Power
09-27-2009, 11:42 PM
Rocket Power
Rocket, because I am into Oldsmobiles (Rocket 350 blah blah blah:goof) and prefer that they be powered by Olds engines. So Rocket Power, Although I am also getting more into Fords as of late(I have a SuperCrew). Currently we have 2 64's an 86 442 and a 83 Wagon for Olds, My 01 Screw for Ford, and a grand Prix I don't like:goof

88Nightmare
09-28-2009, 04:39 AM
88Nightmare

Because many years ago I had a 1988 foxbody, which was a nightmare for me. Fun to drive when it ran good, but honestly I didn't have the money to stick in it to make it the way it was supposed to be, so it just stayed a nightmare. The name stuck.

Mine came from the work I do... Relocating large and/or heavy things. Most of the time using crane, helecopters, or other hoisting. Rigging this stuff requires some structural, or capacity know how and co-workers and clients have said I have mastered this in ways that go beyond anything they have seen. (Special thanks to Wild E. Coyote) So... it stands for A - Rig - Master.

STANMAN

Prince Valiant
09-28-2009, 08:32 AM
When I joined the board, I had a clapped out, 350 dollar, gold 4 door Plymouth Valiant. Purchased it while in college, put together a fairly straight-forward 360 v8 in front of the 4 speed manual...making it into a pretty substantial sleeper (It would eventually go into the 12's all-motor before I sold it).

The name Prince Valiant worked for me on a couple levels...it, of course, came from a lame comic strip that I believe no one ever read despite it being around forever. I also liked the juxtaposition of the image of nobility applied to one of the most plain-jane cars ever produced...and a rusted out beater at that.

I didn't change the name when I got the coronet though...for a couple reasons. Too many forums where the PV name has just stuck, no need for me to go around changing them all, much less here. And also, Coronet refers to a type of crown (the one without points, and a cloth/gold combination top), so it still works for the "Prince" image...like I finally got my crown.

I'll probably be getting a valiant again in the future, but not now...going to put out feelers to sell the coronet and see about getting an older truck for the time being. But the name will stay.....

Exitspeed
09-28-2009, 09:31 AM
My name is the name of a shop I wanted to open years ago. I had a business plan written up, a logo designed, etc etc. Unfortunately, the more research I did the more I realized that people in the Milwaukee area don't like to buy high end quality parts. At least not in the import scene.

I've been using the Exitspeed SN on every forum I've been on since about 2000-2001 when I had my Eclipse.

Only other SN I ever had has been Panache Driver on the Club FR forums. And that was because the admin accidentally deleted like 3/4 of the forums members on accident.

Well, cuz I owned a 25th Anniversary Z28. Now that it is gone & i'm looking at a 3000GT VR4, I may have to change it to somethin clever. Haven't thought of anything yet.

But i'll wait until I have to get the 3000 in my posession first :)

johnny--2k
09-28-2009, 10:53 AM
Um, well, my name is John (Johnny to some) and it all started as Johnny Benz when I had my benz, but that changed with the S2000 to Johnny2k (and thats when I started with the forums) so it stuck and I still use it on forums I sign up for. I think I have this name on about 15-20 different forums....

Why use your own name?

When meeting people in real life its hard remembering "Ya Im 2jz550hpNijaCooter online" when their real name is Billy Bob, little easier.

If I could have picked my own....I dont know maybe MEzoHORNEYoldGOAT :)

y2kws6
09-28-2009, 11:55 AM
Y2K = 2000
WS6 = WS6 Package on the Trans Am.

The problem was that I had it before I had the car. Had one ordered for over 11 months and was never allocated and the dealer gave me my deposit back (wonder why GM is going under). Then I could not find one and didn't like 01WS6 so found a 2000 at the end of production.

Cryptic
09-28-2009, 02:20 PM
I was originally CrypticGTX

Cryptic is a two part answer: I was a Cryptological Technician (CTT) in the US Navy. Secondly my car, a black 2000 Grand Prix GTX w/15% tint all around and blacked out headlights covers, I thought looked a little cryptic.

Just "Cryptic" now, no more GTX.

HITMAN
09-28-2009, 05:50 PM
Killing Is My Business...And Business is Good! :D

Actually, my first name is Brett, same as the old WWF Champion Wrestler, Brett "The Hitman" Hart. My old boss, Frank DeRango, started calling me "Hitman" all of the time, and being of Sicilian decent (50%), I kinda dug it. I think, in certain aspects, it sorta fits. I am an excellent character assasin...:rolf

team beater
09-28-2009, 06:52 PM
Back in the days with fast and the furious took over America, you would see all these stupid kids with names on there cars like "Team V tech" or "Team speed" or "Team (FILL IN THE BLANK)", so a couple of friends and I came up with "team beater" that we painted on our winter beaters mocking these stupid kids......

It was always a great time playing with these people......it was priceless when you would race and win against some "Team ....." honda with some beat up piece of sh1t with spray painted racing stripes and flames......

wrath
10-01-2009, 11:07 PM
In the olden days I was CyberSniper. Like before anyone ever thought of such things as forums. But I owned wrath.com/wrath.net/wrath.org and I had a mIRC and BitchX warscript called wrath that I distributed from the website.

Then when I got more into cars and trucks I hosted a ton of videos, PDF manuals, exploded views, how-tos, et cetera. They're all still there, they're just in sub-directories that aren't linked to the main page. I was in a club full of Brians so people started calling me wrath due to the fact that people would refer to my website for information.
