NICE! I saw an A3 last week and thought it looked cool as hell, a turbo-diesel version would be pimp imo!

I just saw this car on Motorweek last week. It supposedly got something like 38.9 MPG with the automatic trans. Seems pretty decent too me. They said it shared the same Turbodiesel as the Jetta though. Is the whole car the same or just the motor?

Nice car. Not sure about the high price though. I guess when you compare it to simular cars, its right in line. I would take it over a bmw 3 series. It's just a lot of money for something that looks so simular to a gti.

Beside lexus, are there any luxuary cars that get high MPG numbers in the US? I think this may start a trend.

If you can drive it like other Audis, I bet you can stretch 50 mpg out of it.

30k might seem like alot, but it is worth every penny. I'd rock it.

Wait for the 2011 tdi golf 5 door. With some of the 10k you'll save over the audi, you can buy some sick summer wheels, a tune and a set of coil-overs.:headbang

That's like comparing a Passat to an A4. There are major differences between the two other than price.

The Golf TDi lacks AWD and really good interior options.

The models coming to U.S. will be legal in all 50 states and will be fitted exclusively with an S tronic dual-clutch transmission and FWD layout. Other standard features will include a hill-start assist, Sirius satellite radio, leather trim, dual-zone climate control, and 17in alloy wheels.

No AWD. You can get all of these options on the Golf. You can probably option a 6MT as well.

What's wrong with the golf interior? It's way better than anything else in its class and the MKVI version is even nicer.

TDi Awd? Never heard of it.

I know that new GTI/Golf R is coming out with awd and the 2.0t with 270 hp.

Nothing is wrong, it is just not "as good'?
