I'de been saving for a DSLR camera for a long time and was set on getting a Nikon D40 or D60. Well for work i won some money that would alow me to get one. Now there both discontinued! Is there still stores that have them? I wanted one with a lense kit so i could just take pictures right away. I only wanted a 40 or 60 cuz i didn't want to spend alot and get decent, not profesional pictures. What other options do i have that would be easy to get used to and get me great pictures in the price range of $400-550?

If your heart is still set on the D40 or D60 take a look at keh.com. They are a reliable place to buy used or discontinued equipment. Otherwise they do have a Canon Xti in like new condition for mid- $500 range.

BH Photo has them in stock. They are a very trustworthy site too.

I have a kit lens for the D40 (18-55) and a 55-200 lens I've used maybe ten times combined. All you wound need to buy is a body. PM if interested.

i'm not shure what i'm going to do exactly. I do need some things for my bike this year as well. Maybe i'll just wait on the camera until the cars paid off and have some extra money to play with.
