Yeah I find myself on CL way too much. I even look onto other CL sites besides Milwaukee (Madison, Chicago, even Minneapolis) for good deals. Even when I'm not in the market for a car, I'm always looking for deals.

Is it wrong that I look for cars in the states most affected by the housing crisis? California and Florida are full of nice, rust free cars at reasonable prices.

Last winter some one gave away a whole estate. Instead of having an "estate sale" they had an "estate giveaway". Everything in the house was free for the taking. It was a house on Shorewood off Capitol and Oakland. As I recall the doors opened at 7am. I over slept, but I rolled through a little after ten, and there was a cop there watchin things and the line was about a block long.

-auto parts / cars n trucks / free / tools. Each is enough of a reason for a look. Especially stuff like shop equipment in tools, you can get some $$$ stuff on the cheap.

I check out craigslist at least once a day, unless I'm really looking for something.....then I'm on there at least once an hour while I'm awake. I have picked up some outstanding deals, but when they come around you have to be looking at the right time. 2 weeks ago I missed a truck that was only listed for 15 minutes before it was sold. When that happens (and it's been more than once), it reminds me that there are people more obsessed than I am, lol.

I'm worse with eBay than CL. I could eBay all day. I've probably spent close to $300 on ebay in the last month.

I did meet my g/f on CL however.
