Someone posted this on a slot car drag racing website I go on so I figured I'd share it. Towards the bottom are a bunch of pics some cool history and to see how things have changed.

You probably already knew the lead actor was James Taylor the singer, most people think of him for the sappy stuff top 40 stations play but he has a lot of badazz tunes, seen him in person on Marthas Vinyard years ago.

Song was so popular in the day Elvis did a version in the early 70's! We played JT over the whole church when we burried my old man this year, old man loved him too.

Interesting read. It does baffle me how anyone could actually like that movie though, its almost like its an unwritten law for gearheads. I really thought it sucked something fierce, but I felt obligated to watch it more than once in order to retain my Man Card, lol.

I remember seeing Two Lane at the drive in when I was a kid and my dad going ballistic when the film burns at the end. I think he threw his beer and started bitching about having spent $4 for all of us to get in and the goddamn film melts and we don't see how the hell it ends.....

It may have been a double feature with Vanishing Point.
