I just picked up a new to me 96 Nissan Maxima with the 3.0. It seems to be a great car. It runs great, the only problems it has are some dents. Are there any common issues with these I should be aware of?

nothing that comes to mind. theyre pretty good cars overall. 5 speed? miles? trim?

I have a altima I have had for 4.5 years and now has 160k no rust..runs awesome..common sense fluid changes and upkeep...runs awesome to this day

Its got 159k on the clock, runs perfect. I think its a base model Maxima because it doesnt have the auto ac controls or leather. AC blows cold, Its a one owner car and has mostly original parts, even the coolant hoses still have Nissan Imprinted on them (yes theyre being changed out with a new thermostat very soon) The battery is also a Nissan original battery.

there pretty healthy cars. the VG30DE (which is the 3.0L you have) has been around since the early 1980's so it's had it's "kinks" worked out. great car you should be happy with it.
