NADA guides does rate the car in the mid 12's

http://www.nadaguides.com/usedcars.aspx?LI=1-21-1-5013-0-0-0&l=1&w=21&p=1&f=5014&m=1201&d=686&y=1997&c=15&vi=9507&z=53115&da=-1&mi=67000

plus the 97+ is a more desired body sytle. the 97+ has differant front/rear bumpers, side skirts and head and taillight changes from the other years.

also, in 1997 they only made a little over 2,200 SC400's With only 49,3xx being made from 1992-2000 so there pretty rare cars, something you don't see everyday.

speaking of which, OP - did you see a white SC3 going the other way on Hwy 45 up by mayfair mall earlier this week? i saw a white 97+ SC going north.

I'm still workin on that replacement, though its gonna be tough. Once I do, you better get your Slo-Roc ready to line-up again. :)

Better watch out Mikey - the new fender is on and it's finally going to get the tune up and valve cover gaskets it's only needed for about 5 years!:rolf

Something like that, maybe even longer. They are all rusted up now so I have to clean them up so you can get another view of them as I pull away from you :goof JK!:rolf

It is a nice car, I bought it with the check from my insurance company from our other lexus being totaled. I needed a car, saw this one which I THOUGHT was an awesome deal. Then I kept looking and saw a VR4 for sale, and I thought i'd like that one better. I figured I can sell this Lexus at a portion higher than what I paid for it after doing some work on it and put the $$ towards the VR4. It was then that someone pointed out it was a Rebuild. I'm screwed, I don't want it cuz of the rear-wheel drive in the winter time. Otherwise, likely, i'd keep it. Carfax is a good thing, I should have done that to begin with. :chair: :slap

That guy was me and I am very happy Mike. I found this thread by accident, crazy huh.
I just removed the gold pin stripes and repainted all of the gold emblems gunmetal. Looks less like granpa's car now.

Hey Rob, thats no problem on bein honest, glad you like it. I never did get that VR4 that I spoke of, I ended up getting a Grand Am. Shortly thereafter I got a 67 bird. :devil I guess I get the best of both worlds, practicality/daily and performance. I shopped again in IL for my car, I guess thats where all the good stuff is! ha, Since I bought it, I had added a set of factory Rally II rims & a nice set of tires, this pic is out-dated. I didn't like these rims & tires.

Good hearing from ya!
