I have been using this old Recoton 900mhz set for the past 15 years or so. Little static but worked pretty good throughout the house. They finally fell apart on me this morning.

Anyone have a recommendation for replacements? I like Koss brand so I was thinking about something from their lineup.

I was about to say I fail at the search, but wireless isn't discussed in that thread.

I'm surprised KOSS doesn't advertise more around Milwaukee. The only way I know they're here is driving past their world headquarters by 43.

I use a set of Sennheiser RS130 for watching TV later at night.

Koss has the weakest advertising dept. Pretty much the only ad's they run are the billboards on 43, and the occasional magazine add. My pop's been with the company for 25 years and its pretty much always been that way.

They make bluetooth ones now too. http://www.gizmag.com/go/5983/

I wonder why that's the case. It's weird to have such a major company in Milwaukee, but not really know it's here.

Koss still build all their stuff in the US? That would cause me to choose them over some Asian brand from China

If you have to go Wireless, I heard great things about the Sennheiser RS 120s.

Many of the heaphones are still made us, many still at the plant on pt washington. Things like cd/dvd players etc are all outsourced and re-branded.

I'm not 100% sure why they don't advertise heavily either. I think part of it is the "audiophile" audience that they cater to with some of the higher end stuff (and have for years). If you look at the lineup of stuff they offer, probably 60% of the headphone lineup is higher end. They don't intend to try to compete with companies like sony on $12 ipod heaphones and the likes. They do ave occasional ad's in audio mags.
