Fireworks Convention Underway

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Fireworks enthusiasts gather in Fond du Lac starting Wednesday.

Local police expect 600 people to attend at the National Fireworks Association Convention, which runs through Sunday. There will be fireworks displays Wednesday through Saturday nights.

Friday's display will consist of a special salute to 9-11. Saturday's display will be in appreciation to the local community.

I heard it sucks. It's not a fireworks show, but rather fireworks example. They are lit very slowly for a long period of a few days?? It's for firework vendors not spectators.

I'd like to go to that, wish I would have known about it earlier. Nice to see what each piece does. You can only see so much on video.
