Thanks John for the pics and thanks everyone for the comments! These are by the far the best capture of Inferno Orange Metallic's tangerine-like hue in the sun ive ever seen yet. Ive also dubbed this thing "thunder pumpkin" too.

Nikon D90, Nikkor 18-200 AF-S VR (for now, hoping to upgrade soon) with a Hoya Circular Polarizer for the whole car shots and a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AF-S, with a Hoya CP for the detail shots.

I noticed that too and the only thing i can figure out is the way it reflects light due to the quarters being so buldgy. The color looks like red when its dark, hugger orange under normal circumstances and some wild ass tangernine in direct sunlight. The paint is 3-stage and has a pearl look to it up close.

I concur! That color is CRAZY how it pops in sunlight and looks totally different from different angles. There is a ton of pearl in it and it changes everytime you look at it and everytime you change the light source.

Gotcha. The paint on my bike is the same way. In my dads garage under regular fluorescent lights, it looks down right ugly. At work under our HO fluorescent lights it looks better than sunlight.
