No offense to anyone here....BUT......After watching the cars today, trying to find grip on a VERY FAST track (with very hard walls), with only ONE lap, it just seems CRAZY.

Some of the carnage.....I saw other cars that had some good damage also, but did not get pics.

awesome! Insurance companies love to handle those claims too! "So let me get this straight....you put your Impala SS into the wall on turn 2 or turn 3? Ok. No problem sir. We can get a claims adjuster out right away."

That sucks.

I've never done the oval there but the couple autoX events I did there were awesome. I was actually surprised no one when into the wall at any of those events. Especially given the experience of the drivers at those events.

Bad idea for an autocross event. 1.8 mile track with 3 miles of big white concrete walls. Many cars and drivers that are not prepped very well and little experience. You get one lap and no time to warm anything up!!! MC needs to change this event to a race and HPDE only event.

If the track is set up accordingly it's not bad. Like I said I've done two events there and helped design the courses to make the more friendly to the new-comers (not that I'm a pro by any means). You just have to slow people down going on tot he oval and back out because they can't move those concrete barriers.

You can set up various auto X courses using the road course and the oval.

I remember when I went there with my 89 ITA integra. The car had too-much-grip/not-fast-enough for me to have to worry about the wall.
