I need some recommendations on where to find some auto glass. I am looking for the passenger side door glass for a 1982 Mustang Hatch with T-tops. As it turns out, the "t-top" part of the equation is what is making my search difficult. The T-top glass is different then regular notch/hatch and convertible glass. I called a couple of the auto glass chains and wasn't able to get anywhere. None of there suppliers stocked it.

Any suggestions in the Milwaukee area that specializes in older auto glass?

Kurt, if I were you I would call up Fritz (portponies). I know he just parted out a t-top car and might still have the glass....if you dont have his number, let me know.

81-86 should be for sure. 87-88 maybe but I don't know for sure. I depends if the 87-93 t-top cars used convertible doors or not.

The problem there is he doesn't say if it's specifically from a convertible or a T-top and it makes a difference.

Maybe he knows which car(s) he pulled them from. Shoot him an email... can't hurt.

A window from a 88 convertible measures 21.4" X 43.5"

A window from a 82 t-top measures 21.1" x 40.2"

I have been told that the 87-88 t-top cars were the most desireable, no wonder why parts for them are hard to find.

See I was told convertible glass works but it depends on the mirrors some had pedstal and some had sail style

Vert glass won't work. Drops down in the back. 88 t-top cars use sail mirrors like the older ones. There is no such thing as a true "vert" door. All convertables started life as coupes with normal coupe doors.
