Time to replace my 2 year old redwings that have served my feet well :headbang

Where is a good place to go that the staff is knowledgeable about the shoes they carry in stock.

Not real worried on the price because you should get only the best for your feet and well the rest of your body as shoes affect more then just your feet.

:thumbsup

There's one on HWY 100 & Beloit. I was there Monday but wasn't really
impressed. I'll have to try Rogans (not a Milwaukee area store for Red Wings
though, I was told they can't sell them because they are too close to the Red
Wing store) or Boot Connection.

I LOVE my Red Wings, but they don't make them anymore. I looked at their
current offerings but none seem to combine all the features I wanted. Kinda
frustrating. I don't want to drive back out to the Shoe Box in Black Earth.

Across from the old Casanova's

I saw the other week that they looked closed. Did they move? They were
just up Capitol from that Pontiac dealer. I remember going to their store
when it was on 16th st.

Wow that's more :gay than sandals.

I used to go to the workshoe outlet I think it's called over on Hwy T/silvernail in waukesha. They were always helpful and knowledgeable. Now I just go to Rogans because I know what boots I want (timberland titanium toe) and they have buy one get the other half off. So I get some sneaks for 1/2 off and work pays for my boots:headbang

Not when you learn about how your feet work. I'd post more info but don't want to hi-jack the thread. We were designed to be barefoot.

My redwings didn't last a year before the toe seam open and the steel went flying across the shop.
Timberland's only for me now. The TiTan's are comfortable from the first day and are light. Not real cheap at ~$120-130 but I won't buy anything else now and almost everyone I work with converted.

I tried some Timberlands back in Dec and I really liked them, I'll have to check them out again :thumbsup

Go to Rogan's..... They have sales for buy one get one half off ALOT also. Thats the only place I get my Redwings. I have had them for over 2 years and they are as good as new other than some wear and tear.

Wow, those are pretty neat for what they are. Yeah, they look kinda silly like those toe socks do, but for these to function as they should they have to look this way, so I guess they look as cool as they can when you consider that.

It looks like Lacke and Joyce on Water St. is the only place in Milwaukee that carries them. And it also looks like they could fit my giant feet. I wear a size 15 normally, but their sizes are according to inches, not shoe size, so you have to actually measure your feet in length with a ruler (see their sizing help section) and use their chart for correct size.

All in all, pretty affordable as well. Anywhere from $75-90 depending on what you want or need. And the fact that they have a Vibram sole mean it'll be both comfortable and long lasting.

There's a thread on another forum I'm on and there's a damn shoe/foot expert on there and these are supposed to be help so much with a lot of aches and pains.

I'm thinking about getting some for next summer. These things would be great for advanced hiking trails.

I'm also thinking they would be the next best thing to "driving shoes", which allow you to really feel the pedal.

I mentioned breakdancing before because it was so liberating to breakdance in socks when doing very acrobatic moves. But you could really only do that while practicing. I mean I couldn't be up in a club or at a battle and take my shoes off.

So these would have been ideal.
