Caught myself a 5.5 21" smallmouth this weekend. Only bad part is it swallowed the hook and wouldn't swim off, so its going on the wall. I will post pics later.

Nice man!! I caught a 20" 4.5lb small mouth this past week in Waupaca. Mine also swallowed the hook but swam away just fine.

Where in Waupaca do you go? I was camping on Casey Lake just outside Waupaca. Been goin there since I was 5.

Thats a nice smallie!! I got 1 on the wall same length but 6.5lbs. I would've mounted yours even if it didn't swallow the hook. That's a big smallie for Wis.!!

I caught that on Namakogon. We were walleye fishing on a weed edge. I had 2 slip bobbers out and a jig an leech on on the other side of the boat. Reeled in one of the slip bobbers to check it because panfish were messin with it and when I got it to the boat I noticed my rod with the jig was taking line out. Grabbed that set the hook caught a 15" walleye got it in the boat and noticed my bobber next to the boat was gone. Set the hook on that and caught that smallie. It was a fun fight on an ultra light. This isnt my biggest small mouth. I got a 7lb fish 2 years ago but it was catch and release only because they were on their beds. I am getting it mounted by Randy Mayes in Stevens Point. He does great work.

Believe it or not that's the second 20" Small mouth I've caught in Waupaca. The first one was this spring. Another note is fishing in Waupaca on the chain was 100000x better in the spring than it was this past week. We usually just fish the chain, a bunch of different spots on each lake.
