I was out today moving my treestand with my Father in law and brother in law. Should be a good spot:headbang. Hit walmart on the way home and Holy Crap they had WWB 9mm in stock:wow, so I picked up a couple boxes in addition to a box of slugs. Gonna break out the bow to and make sure I'm still shooting as good as last year. And hopefully actually get out to use it unlike last year:goof
I wonder if I'll have Gun A.D.D. again this year using my shotgun and multiple rifles during the course of the season.:rolf

I've been shooting in the yard for weeks, food plot ready for winter wheat this weekend. Couple nice bucks on trail cam. The wife is getting pissed at me lately for 2 reasons, 1. She knows she won't see me much come next month, 2. watching hunting on tv has started and will last through Dec.!! I'm sweating already!!!!

Im putting an offer in on a house in Ottawa (Dousman), few acres overlooking another 100 of lowland on the Scupernog river by Millpond, think the deer are so thick there because they are fleeing the Kettle Morain traffic 1/4 mile sout of it.

I get this place Im gonna train the deer to eat off my back porch :)

Beautiful area!! You are probably right about the foot traffic. Thats where I tend to hunt most often and it's TOUGH!! I have to walk some extreme distances through the thickest crap to get to spots that no people can get to. The deer feel comfortable there.

I did have one instance 3 or 4 years ago, I walked about 3/4 of a mile off one of the horse trails, found a really nice deer trail and some good sign. So I set up my treestand seat in a couple of big bushes and waited. An hour or so go by and I start hearing some voices. Sure enough, here comes a family of 4 on horseback.....lost!

The father and son ride within 5 yards of me.......and pass me!!!! When I turned just a little too fast to see where the other 2 were, I think the Mom and daughter shat themselves at the same time!!!! LMAO!!! Both screamed....OMG! WTF!:rolf

I was trying soooooo hard not to laugh, but I did, then pointed them in the direction of the trail.

I still laugh my ass of when I think of their faces!

I plan to do some sitting in Racine county after work some nights. Unfortunately, I probably be able to go up north until mid-October. I think I have a better chance of seeing a monster down here honestly.

I thought we had a close shot:rolf
We had one with a buck sideways, then he must have seen the camera and was like WTF and came closer to look at it then a third pic as he walked away.
