My wife's 2004 Ford Escape fuel pump has taken a crap. Does anybody know if it is possible to buy just the pump without the whole assembly and install it myself? Or is it worth the money to buy the whole assembly and avoid any headaches I could encounter if I do it myself.

Any advise is greatly appreciated!

Northern and a few others sell pumps only, not hard at all to put in:

The pump is about all that fails on those, cant imagine why everyone only sells "modules" but pumps are available.

Thanks Russ, checked them out and didn't find one there that will work with her truck.

Thanks Irish, that would work but will take a couple days to ship. Can't do it, I've got to fix it today. Going to get the whole assembly in a lil bit. I'll call you when I'm on my way to pick you upl

Thanks again guys, I appreciate it!
