I have a set of 95 1500 wheels that have the clearcoat falling off and getting those crappy spiderwebs in it. What do you use to strip them so I can clearcoat again?

Or any tips for that matter, Do I sand them with some fine grit?:confused

Blast with glass beads, sand smooth, and then spray on another coat of clear.....

I only got one wheel completely finished to my satisfaction, because the first 2 I didn't sand the primer and I didn't like the texture it had so I had to redo 2 of them.
Step by step
1. Sand the wheel with 120 grit automotive sand paper
2. Clean with brake cleaner, make sure you wipe it down thoroughly
3. I did about 4 coats of primer on both the entire wheel, using Dupli-Color "Filler Primer"
4. Sand primer with 320 grit automotive sandpaper
5. Wipe down with degreaser, do this a few times to make sure you get all dust/anything that might cause the paint not to stick
6. I used an entire can per wheel (Rustoleum Wheel paint in Flat black waiting about 30 minutes between each coat, it's like 6-7 coats total, after the final coat let it sit and dry for about an hour
7. Hit it up with Krylon Crystal Clear in "flat" about 3-4 coats per wheel I did this because the black is actually pretty glossy as you can see in the pics, the ending result is nice matte black look.

The wheels I currently have on now were done the same way and have held up great.

x2 aircraft remover ftw. Availabe at any parts store, easy to use, and IT WORKS. Spray it on, let it sit. The existing clear coat will bubble up and you can wipe it away with a rag. Re-clear and you have a nice set of wheels again. Its a cheap, non-labor intensive way to redo the wheels. If there is corrosion, however, you will want to sand that down and repaint though.

If you go the aircraft remover route make sure you wear some gloves.
