I know some guys that "fish" carp with a bow and arrow at night. Not entirely sure how it works but you shoot the fish with barbed arrow and pull it back in with a line atached to the arrow. I guess they have no problem filling a 55 gallon barrel in a night.

yeah. always loved trading the silly hmongs my carp and bullhead for the perch that they were catching. :banana1:. i think they like them alive though so they can flood their basement and let them stink up the house for a while.

smoke the piss out of carp and it is not bad. gotta get them early in the year when the water is still cold and you have to clean and smoke them right after catching them. i like smoked carp. sturgeon is good too, boil the piss out of it and season it right......yummy!

i am guessing that they are probably netting some fish up in lake butte des mortes and expect to take in some carp. they do not put carp back in the lake, they dispose of them. i heard that DNR did a big drag on the lake last year and ended up needing to get rid of over 200,000 pounds of carp! that is a lot of stuff. the mink farms take a lot of them.
