Right away im gonn throw this out there...

Dont think this is anywhere near the ending, the car WILL get MUCH faster once i can really lean in it harder of the line.

#1 #2
60' -1.674 1.641

330-4.830 4.847

1/8 7.473 @ 93 7.517 @ 92

1000 9.733 9.795

11.622 11.692

119.56 119.14

Ran a ton of low 11.7 11.8' at 118 all night with 1.8 1.9 60 fts.

As you can see i couldnt do any mad man launches... never broke past low 1.6 60 fts i was slipping the clutch out from 4K on most of these runs then bog.

Once i can get a balls to the walls 5K side step hanging both wheels and start pulling gears ALOT quicker this baby will be on the south side of 11.5 in no time!!

Thats still hauling as$ Tom! Did you remove anymore weight since this past weekend? What kind of 60's do you think you can hit with that combo?

I was down there tonight with a buddy from Chi-town diving a brown '76 280Z, he finally broke into the 12's tonight on the stock turbo (12.85), woohoo! Anyways, your car moves pretty good! I saw you run a few times and it didn't look like the track was holding to well. It was to cold.

I saw all you guys in a group after they closed the track. I saw the yellow wagon there and the lowered pewter colored Chevy down there too. I was going to say Hi, but felt wierd just going over there to a group of people and saying that I think I know you from the internet.

Mat, do it next time! Cause that's how we all met, haha.

Tom, good looking shake down runs! Once you get the sand out of your ***** and launch the pig, you'll be flying :) Looks like I'll be pretty close on the e.t., but a bit off on the mph. If you can stick a mid 1.5, i think that'll put you in the .4x range with some quick shifting. Did anyone get video of your passes? Or did J just take pics?

i also find it funny you have a 27mph top end pull after the first 1/8 mile :)

Edgumucate me: "Side step"???

BAD LS1
04-14-2004, 09:09 AM
The car has done 1.5 60's on the stock suspension last year...

I really didnt start shifting fasttill the end of the night either...

Now its lighter and has more power should + possible even better 6 0fts liek low 1.5's maybe 1.4s.

Although the track couldnt handle a side step last night w/o massive wheel spin.

The car hasent been lightend anymore still a 3340 race weight.

Side step= bringing engine rpms up very high and sliping your foot off the edge of the clutch pedal and letting it spring back allowing for imediate clutch engagment.

I didn't even take any pics! LOL. I froze my arse off though...I wanted to take pics but was too lazy to, ha ha ha.

Instead I ran the wagon twice for fun.

P*ssy launch:
.572 R/T
2.111 60ft.

13.952 @ 99.56mph

the car will go a lot faster if I would rev it up to 6K and slip the clutch but I also don't like riding the bus to work either.

:thumbsup

Good job Tom......:thumbsup

30 on the top end is great, the HP is there, the 60fts will be tough this time of year. Low 1.5s should put you low low 11s, I wouldn't sweat it till May or so.

Tom and J you guys had some pretty impressive runs. I froze my ass off too at GLD but I still got the camera out and snapped some pictures. Hopefully they will turn out. I still have some pictures I need to use up.

J's car is quick. It runs right with mine and is definitely a low 13 sec car. Although I can understand his "I don't want to break it" mentality. It's the ONLY mode of transportation he has.

Nice times BTW Tommy, :thumbsup I wish I would have been there to see them.

yeah the wagon definetely had more potential than I threw at it. I just didn't want to be waiting for the Freeway Flyer to come pick me up this morning.....ha ha ha

Even with weak 3500rpm launches I was easily into the 13's @ 100mph

My guess with the tuning I have and everything its could do 13.2's (with a 5K launch) cuz man that thing was pulling hard in 2nd and 3rd gear last night...

Tom's right though, I'm just too affraid to break it. :goof

Its really hard to run a "Real" time by pushing it down the track....I don't care how good your sneakers are Chris.....

Actually, i was wearing sandals. :)

Hey keith, i'm a healthy 170lbs, so i think i could squeak out a few hundreths out of your car. Maybe I could get it in the 12's for ya? Seems I could do it with anyone elses car, why not yours?
