Gonna do some speed runs at GLD tonight

Speed runs is probably all it will be unless that track is hooking like a mofo and can handle 6K side steps on slicks without letting the car blow the tires off.

Im not out for killer ET tonight unless she hooks but if i dip 11.50 or faster im prolly going to get kicked out for not having a cage.

Did 2 Gtech runs last night with HORRIBLE 60 fts trying to prevent spin but only caused more. # 1 was 12.30 @ a screaming 124.5 mph the 2nd was a 12.40 @ 123.6 with damn near stalling it trying to make it out with out spin.

The ***** honestly felt like it was yanking the left front on the 1-2 shift because i was short shifting 1st.

So im just looking to see what kinda MPH i can pull out of it tonight.

So if anyone is intrested in going im gona be there around 6 till close or tilli get kicked out.

First question is it a G-Tech Pro or a G-Tech Competition Pro?

If it is the blue screen Competition version it is VERY accurate with consistency in how far 'off' it is (as in most are within .10 and 1-2mph)... actually quite a bit more consistent than going from one track to another...

The first gen (looked like a radar detector) could be WAY off depending... some showed like 10mph higher than they should and were up to .8sec off... but again were farily consistent so they could be used to do back to back comparisons of mods and stuff...

just a shitty 1st gen gtech.

thats why i dont put much faith in it.... but it seems to be fairly accurate when on the colorado saying it runs mid 15's and i have raced a few 2wd Hemi rams now and those run low 15s and just get edged out by a tad so i would say its pretty close for the most part....

its really close back to back unless i botch the run up some how....

Good luck with the track, fastest LS1 I saw down there so far was 12.48@115. Its a guy running in a red TA with black markings on the front fenders.

I believe it was a small cam car. From what my freind told me/I remember. Think it had built tranny/moser 12 bolt in it too. It was a real sharp car for what it was. :thumbsup

I had a completely STOCK motor and still went 11.74 in a lightweight car in a '98 Z/zuto. Even without the lightweight and a small converter it was 12.30 @ 110mph.

My predictions:

11.40-11.65 @ 122-125 obviously dependant upon launch and shifting
