I have been using Google Voice for about a week now and find it handy, especially for it's price of "free".
Create your own consolidated phone number, and even look for a number by word, mine ends in "goat". Have a phone number in a long off area code like my wife did, give yourself a local number. You can listen in as voice mails are left and voice mails get texted to you as text even. Rings multiple phones at once
