Vey cool! Some of the drivers and chasis / motor combos are interesting. At least the track is still the same if not better. The area around 10 has been cleaned up nice.

Why did they stop having these races there?

Last Champ car race was two years ago then champ car folded. IRL remains but already has numerous races in the midwest. They were always at Milwaukee the weekend after the INDY 500 but not next year. The date is still open on the schedule but will not be resolved until the new management team at the mile pays the IRL an undisclosed amount of money owed to the IRL. I always hope they will go to RA but have been told that there is bad blood between the IRL management and Road America. With all the changes lately lets hope it happens soon. Possibly in 2011 when it's rumored that the IRL will expand it's schedule. The race last weekend at Kentucky was one of the best in the last few years.

I remember trying to get Bobby Rahal's autograph at Road America when I was younger, but wasn't able too. Walking around the pits, Michael Andretti pops out of a tent, and I got his!

I used to work timing and scoring and my parents were corner workers at Road America and Blackhawk Farms. CART , IMSA , AMA and the VW Rabbits going throught the turns on 3 wheels. Love those memories

i went to the indy 500 4 times. i think it was 1995 or 1996 when stan fox crashed and came to a stop in turn two right in front of us. the front end of his car was gone and his legs were dangling out on the track.
