The SP4449 will be coming to Milwaukee from Chicago today. It is scheduled to leave Chicago Union Station at 10:00am and head to Milwaukee on the same tracks that the Amtrak Empire Builder runs on. It will be parked by the downtown train station until 8:00am Monday morning when it leaves heading west. As far as seeing it arrive, the time could vary(late) because of maintenance stops along the way. It will be on the Canadian Pacific Railroad today, the first main tracks east of I-94 from the state line to Milwaukee. It will depart on the Canadian Pacific Railroad on Monday. Its route goes through Miller Valley, Wauwatosa, Elm Grove, Brookfield, and Pewaukee on Monday as it heads west. www.SP4449.com

Thanks for the heads up. You would not believe how many calls we get for fires when one of these types of trains come into town. The phones go nuts.

I saw it by the the Amtrak depot in Milwaukee. They filled the tender with oil using a tanker semi. It burns drain oil.

I caught it in Racine and then Downtown. Very cool. Makes me wish I had an old 50's car to take a picture next to it tonight.
